Mahamrityunjaya Jaap Pooja is a powerful ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva. The online pooja involves specifically invoking the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, also known as the Tryambakam mantra. It is a Rig Vedic verse meaning: “We worship the three-eyed Lord Shiva who is fragrant and nourishes all beings. May He liberate us from death, just as a ripe cucumber is effortlessly separated from the vine.” This mantra consists of 52 syllables.

Performed by 8 Pandits after Sankalpa, the Pooja involves chanting 1.25 lakh mantras (Jaap) and beyond.
